Panic Attacks and Panic Disorder

Panic Attacks & Panic Disorder: Finding Relief and Regaining Control

Panic attacks can feel sudden, overwhelming, and frightening. You might experience a racing heart, shortness of breath, dizziness, chest pain, or a sense of losing control. Many people describe feeling as if they’re having a heart attack or going crazy—but these symptoms, while intense, are not life-threatening.

If panic attacks happen repeatedly and begin to interfere with daily life, it may be a sign of Panic Disorder. This condition can cause persistent fear of when the next attack might happen, often leading to avoidance of certain places or activities.

You are not alone—and help is available.

Through therapy, individuals can:

  • Understand the root causes and triggers of panic attacks

  • Learn how to manage and reduce symptoms in the moment

  • Challenge the fearful thoughts that fuel panic

  • Rebuild confidence in their ability to cope and function

  • Develop long-term strategies to reduce anxiety

We use evidence-based approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques, to help clients regain control and feel safer in their bodies and lives.

Panic doesn’t define you—and with the right support, freedom is possible.
